Alastair Currill is available to teach on set days. The first one is coming up soon at the end of April. 

Alastair is a well known and respected photographer in the Cotswolds where he has lived all his life. He prides himself on taking great landscape photographs. Alastair has been teaching students for 3 years and founded Cotswold Photography Training.

Suggested dates for your Diary:

April 27th  June 15th  July 27th  September 28th. 

You will learn about the different settings on a camera. Learn how to compose a landscape picture, and then photograph a creative landscape. 
Achieve better results than you ever could have dared hoped for. !

  • Workshop Tuition Day:

    Best Cotswold Tours has teamed up with Alastair Currill, a  professional photographer from Bourton on the Water to create Private Workshop Photographic Tours. Alastair will come with us, to teach skills and camera technique that you never thought would be possible.  Take a note of the dates for your diary:  April 27th. June 15th.July 27th. and September 28th.
    The Price for this tour (for a maximum of 6 and minimum 2) will be  £125 per person.  Lunch which will be taken in a typical relaxing Cotswold Pub or cafe which is not included in the price of the day.

    If you cant do one of these dates please enquire for availability for other dates to suit you.


  • Duration:

    Meet at 9.30 am at Wyck Rissington.

    Finish about 6.00 pm

  • Tour Routes:

    Each Workshop day has set tour routes selecting some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Cotswolds. (See below)

  • Equipment Required:

    The Workshop days will require an SLR camera, and preferably a tripod.

  • Skill Level:

    For complete beginners, to more advanced, or anyone interested in improving their photographic skills.
    No skill necessary, only an interest.
  • Prices:

    Workshop tuition day from £125 per person per day.

  • Meeting Place.:

    Olive Hill Barn at Wyck Rissington, (3 miles from Bourton the Water). Cars can be left safely and securely all day.

    For guests who need transport, I will collect you for a small charge from your hotel, or  B&B provided it is within a 15-mile radius of Bourton on the Water.

A  suggested route might include Bourton on the Water, Lower Slaughter, Stow on the Wold, Sudeley Castle,  Broadway Tower and Snowshill, or even venturing further afield to Blenheim Palace, and the spires of Oxford Colleges.
Explore some of the most photogenic sites of the Cotswolds, and focus on taking pictures of beautiful scenery, magnificent landscapes, and iconic buildings which can be converted into treasured framed pictures for your home. 
The price for this tour will be from as little as £ 70 per person (for a maximum of  6 people, minimum numbers apply).
Neither Lunch nor admission fees are included. Lunch will be taken in a traditional Cotswold Pub or café.
